If they can't catch they don't eat, which initiates a fast that helps maintain a healthy gut. To replicate this beneficial scenario I recommend varying your pet's recipes, daily ration, feeding times and fast at least 1 day a week. The total weekly ration fed should maintain ideal body weight based on your pet's activity level.
